CEREUS CRISIS OVER

After a couple of interim fixes, the encryption vulnerability at the Cereus Poker Network has now been fully resolved.

The poker information site Poker Table Ratings (€œPTR€), which uncovered the security issue initially has been assisting Cereus with verification testing of the SSL implementation. On Tuesday, May 18th, PTR announced: €œThe Cereus network has upgraded all of their server communications to adhere to industry standards of Open SSL, which will prevent any user data from being stolen€.

In an official statement to industry media, Tokwiro Enterprises (€œTokwiro€) Chief Operating Officer, Paul Leggett confirmed €œthe new software release uses Open SSL encryption to secure all Client-Server communication€ and said €œWe are communicating openly with PTR, our players, and the rest of the poker community to prove ourselves as a company that is safe to play at, and that we are serious about security.€

Tokwiro is the owner, operator of the Cereus Poker Network.
